Michael Ford

City Councillor

50Despite being barely old enough to crack a beer at the last Ford Fest family barbecue, this Ford easily won his uncle Rob’s old seat in July. Michael wants to keep taxes low and customer service high, but unlike Doug and Rob, he has a progressive bent. As a TDSB trustee, he backed a special committee to address the needs of black students, marched in Pride and advocated for trans inclusion. Ford is the new standard-bearer of the right. His populism combined with an inclusive spirit could make him unstoppable.

Side gig:

Ford, an amateur photographer, shot rugged landscapes in the western U.S. this past summer.
