Little Anthony's

Every theatre district needs a place like Little Anthony’s, the kind of unpretentious ristorante designed for people who prefer bolognese to beef heart. The cooking, from former County General chef Garth Legree, is good. Pappardelle noodles are cut as wide as floor planks and tossed with mushroom and savoury skeins of pulled brisket. The branzino is a lovely Italian peasant dish, with its rich but tart lemon–olive oil sauce and medley of al dente white beans, bittersweet endive and bright orange segments. Closed Sunday.
