Our last installment of The Scene is full of fashion, including Cory Lee ’s three costume changes and Samuel L. Jackson perfecting the taking-out-the-trash look. He’s just like us! Below, our picks for the most striking looks from the last day of fashion week.

63837 Slean is slim and chic in black, with the I-just-ate-a-pint-of-raspberries lips to match. 63836 Robin Kay, bird woman. 63835 We’re certain this amazing checked Philip Sparks dress does not require a sad-looking fur coat. (Image: Stefania Yarhi) Molly Buckle https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Molly-Buckle.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Molly-Buckle.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Molly-Buckle.jpg 624 936 [] https://torontolife.com/style/the-scene-21-final-looks-from-lg-fashion-week/slide/molly-buckle/ molly-buckle 0 0
63832 Like anyone who changes three times in one day (i.e., no one), it seems essential to start with something incredibly boring: blazer, jeans, top. (Image: Stefania Yarhi) Cory Lee’s first of three costume changes https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Cory-Lee.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Cory-Lee.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Cory-Lee.jpg 624 936 [] https://torontolife.com/style/the-scene-21-final-looks-from-lg-fashion-week/slide/cory-lee/ cory-lee 0 0
63833 From conservative blazer to cropped leather jacket, we think the intention was to show her dark side. We’ve seen more edge from mall goths at an Orange Julius. (Image: Stefania Yarhi) Cory Lee’s second attempt https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Cory-Lee2.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Cory-Lee2.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Cory-Lee2.jpg 624 939 [] https://torontolife.com/style/the-scene-21-final-looks-from-lg-fashion-week/slide/cory-lee2/ cory-lee2 0 0
63834 Third time’s the charm, with this Kate Beckinsale-in-<em>Underworld</em> get up. Leather harness provided by Priape (kidding). (Image: Stefania Yarhi) Cory Lee’s third try https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Cory-Lee3.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Cory-Lee3.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Cory-Lee3.jpg 624 939 [] https://torontolife.com/style/the-scene-21-final-looks-from-lg-fashion-week/slide/cory-lee3/ cory-lee3 0 0
63831 Cronenberg is meta in black-on-black-on-black. We like how her sunglasses are sitting atop her head and not on her face. (Image: Stefania Yarhi) Caitlin Cronenberg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Caitlin-Cronenberg.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Caitlin-Cronenberg.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Caitlin-Cronenberg.jpg 624 936 [] https://torontolife.com/style/the-scene-21-final-looks-from-lg-fashion-week/slide/caitlin-cronenberg-2/ caitlin-cronenberg-2 0 0
63830 The Fashion Collective —known for connecting designers like Sid Neigum and Amanda Lew Kee with LG Fashion Week— are seen sporting sheer fabrics, leather and knits. All on-trend for fall/winter 2011. Brian wears a Duane Reade bag on his head. (Image: Stefania Yarhi) Brian A. Richards, Dwayne Kennedy and Kate Ashley Mullin https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Brian-A-Richards-Dwayne-Kennedy-and-Kate-Ashley-Mullin.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Brian-A-Richards-Dwayne-Kennedy-and-Kate-Ashley-Mullin.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Brian-A-Richards-Dwayne-Kennedy-and-Kate-Ashley-Mullin.jpg 624 416 [] https://torontolife.com/style/the-scene-21-final-looks-from-lg-fashion-week/slide/brian-a-richards-dwayne-kennedy-and-kate-ashley-mullin/ brian-a-richards-dwayne-kennedy-and-kate-ashley-mullin 0 0
63829 We’re excited by Kerr’s print dress, since it loses much of the <em>Toddlers and Tiaras</em> aesthetic of last week. Not to mention we’re loving the Nelly Band-Aid reference. (Image: Stefania Yarhi) Ainsley Kerr https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Ainsley-Kerr1.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Ainsley-Kerr1.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Ainsley-Kerr1.jpg 624 936 [] https://torontolife.com/style/the-scene-21-final-looks-from-lg-fashion-week/slide/ainsley-kerr-4/ ainsley-kerr-4 0 0
63828 This is so obnoxiously wild. Mixing patterns? Yes. Mixing these patterns? No. (Image: Stefania Yarhi) Ainsley Kerr’s wild ride https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Ainsley-Kerr-2.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Ainsley-Kerr-2.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Ainsley-Kerr-2.jpg 624 939 [] https://torontolife.com/style/the-scene-21-final-looks-from-lg-fashion-week/slide/ainsley-kerr-2-2/ ainsley-kerr-2-2 0 0
63823 Coral pants, an animal print and a big ol' smile. We’re waiting for the day Ton fails in some capacity. This day was not that day. (Image: Stefania Yarhi) Tommy Ton https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Tommy-Ton.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Tommy-Ton.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Tommy-Ton.jpg 624 939 [] https://torontolife.com/style/the-scene-21-final-looks-from-lg-fashion-week/slide/tommy-ton/ tommy-ton 0 0
63821 SLJ’s schlump-chic seems to have won Kay over. (Image: Stefania Yarhi) Robin Kay and Samuel L. Jackson https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Robin-Kay-and-Samuel-L-Jackson.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Robin-Kay-and-Samuel-L-Jackson.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Robin-Kay-and-Samuel-L-Jackson.jpg 624 415 [] https://torontolife.com/style/the-scene-21-final-looks-from-lg-fashion-week/slide/robin-kay-and-samuel-l-jackson/ robin-kay-and-samuel-l-jackson 0 0
63820 We like Trinnear’s porcelain skin and contrasting button-down dress. Some might say boring, but we see absolutely nothing wrong with the look. Well, her socialite pose could be dispensed with, but otherwise, she’s a winner. (Image: Stefania Yarhi) Liz Trinnear https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Liz-Trinnear.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Liz-Trinnear.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Liz-Trinnear.jpg 624 939 [] https://torontolife.com/style/the-scene-21-final-looks-from-lg-fashion-week/slide/liz-trinnear-2/ liz-trinnear-2 0 0
63819 It may be a tired expression, but Coco Chanel said to take off one item, not add 40 new ones. We think Genovese is a gorgeous girl who could (and does) model her friends’ clothing—but these glasses? Was there a sale at Urban Outfitters? (Image: Stefania Yarhi) Jaclyn Genovese adds glasses https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Jaclyn-Genovese.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Jaclyn-Genovese.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Jaclyn-Genovese.jpg 624 939 [] https://torontolife.com/style/the-scene-21-final-looks-from-lg-fashion-week/slide/jaclyn-genovese/ jaclyn-genovese 0 0
63818 It only took two weeks, but we've found Genovese’s top look. Her printed top is casual and open and her legs are adorned with metal that could likely hurt somebody, but we still think she’s making less of a statement than previous efforts. And we’re more than OK with that. (Image: Stefania Yarhi) Jaclyn Genovese will cut you https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Jaclyn-Genovese-2.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Jaclyn-Genovese-2.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Jaclyn-Genovese-2.jpg 624 939 [] https://torontolife.com/style/the-scene-21-final-looks-from-lg-fashion-week/slide/jaclyn-genovese-2/ jaclyn-genovese-2 0 0
63816 The sister half of sibling duo Juma has a flair for layering. The only change we’d make is the glistening leggings, but otherwise we love how Alia’s no-frills looks match her carefree attitude. (Image: Stefania Yarhi) Alia Juma https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Alia-Juma.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Alia-Juma.jpg https://torontolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Alia-Juma.jpg 624 939 [] https://torontolife.com/style/the-scene-21-final-looks-from-lg-fashion-week/slide/alia-juma/ alia-juma 0 0
funny, the “black guy” gets the “ghetto” associations. So fresh. True North subtle prejudices…
ps/ goodness sake, at least give a brotha’ the benefit of being Canadian…
I agree with Mr. Reade. The captions range from terribly uncreative to blatantly offensive.
Considering this has been a very successful and progressive Toronto Fashion Week, one would expect Toronto Life to illustrate same.

Since when is Duane Reade a “ghetto” association?
I assume you’re being facetious. Because somewhere between a crack addicted individual collecting garbage, a track diva protecting her newly done doo at a track meet and Tina wearing a DR bag as underwear, I personally have trouble finding any other connotation but “ghetto” — please, don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining…
