Sushma Kilachand is an expert at creating modern Indian-influenced pieces. The former L.A. Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising student moved to Toronto from Mumbai and started creating gorgeous clothing under the Sushk label at her home just off Danforth Avenue. We love this winter-appropriate tunic ($275), which is made from 100 per cent silk, with a hand-gilded neck adornment. The best part: Kilachand makes each piece to measure for every client.

For orders, contact Kilachand at 416-897-5776, sushk@hotmail.com or visit sushkdesigns.com.
