1.2 in this neighbourhood for this? Most of the block is bungalows worth less than half as much… Also it’s not near a subway. You can buy something nice a couple of blocks from a subway at, say, Yonge and Eglinton for this kind of money. Insane.

Good luck finding something like this for this price at Yonge and Eglinton, that would easily cost you 1.5 million, if not more with this quality and design.
The Subway is a 15-20 minute walk actually.

i guess he means the house prices are over inflated and hyped by realtors. Seems fairly straight forward to me. I tend to agree.
No matter how spa-like the bathrooms may be, this is one of the most depressing areas of Toronto to live in. Worth every penny to purchase elsewhere.
You must be hoping to sell your East York house and get out of that dreary wasteland – that’s why you’re trying to defend the area. But 20 minutes walking to a subway that many stops east is not a plus, it’s a negative.
