It has some beautiful finishes and architectural features but the place leaves me cold. You can still do “elegant” with warmth but this place fails. It was a bad move on the developers part to remove many of the church’s features.

YY, you obviously have not seen a number of other churches that were converted to lofts and condo apartments. All of the beautiful stained glass and magnificent wood trim/molding and staircases were incorporated into the renovations. These conversions were gorgeous and your post is supercilious.

…former church and the agents name is Christian…I love it. I think it is grand, I would love to live there. As for the conversion – we hear this all the time…just waiting for the fellow to post here and him go on about the lack of respect and integrity for the original structure, as he does with any church building re-purposed. Hey it was saved from the wrecking ball and re-purposed, just because it was a church does not mean it needs to be one or look like one inside. I think this is lovely. I would live in a church or any re-purposed building as long a it appealed to me and the space met my needs. My great grandfather was a church architect in London UK and some of his churches were converted to flats and I think he would be chuffed to know this. Cheers

One of the most exquisite homes shown here yet, and the decor is magnificent – except for a couple of the bad paintings that look like they were done by someone taking an art course (sorry… I know the paintings aren’t part of the sale, but eek). The maintenance fees seem high. Is there a communal pool?
Gorgeous townhouse. The decorating is cold but I find a lot of decorators leave this impression. When you purchase you just make the changes to feel at home.

I think I would switch the kitchen and the dining room. Then knock down the wall between the new kitchen and the living room. Get some natural light into the middle of the first floor so it doesnt seem like a fancy basement

Absolutely stunning – I believe it’s now $3,795,000. Would love to know the name of the interior designer. The deal breaker – annual tax at $14,000+ 2012 meaning for 2016 I expect to pay over $20,000 of my after taxed earnings!!
