Condo of the Week: 90 Sumach Street, Suite 319

Address: 90 Sumach Street, Suite 319 Neighbourhood: Regent Park
Agents: Sheila Gallagher and Tiffany Sly, Chestnut Park Real Estate Limited, Brokerage Price: $619,000

The Place: A one-bedroom unit in what used to be called the Brewery Lofts (it’s now known simply as the Lofts of 90 Sumach), a former CBC design centre and prop warehouse. We featured a two-bedroom unit in the building back in 2010.

Bragging Rights: The unit is a true hard loft, with floor-to-ceiling windows, polished concrete floors, and fourteen-foot ceilings.

Big Selling Point: There’s somewhere to hide your clutter. The raised bedroom (created during the unit’s renovation in 2009) has a huge storage space below.

Possible Deal Breaker: If the loss of the unit’s former libation-themed moniker was a letdown, take heart: despite the name, the building never actually housed a brewery. The title came from the nearby Dominion Brewery complex, which shuttered in 1936.

By the Numbers:

• $619,000 • 1,145 square feet • $510 in monthly maintenance fees • 14-foot ceilings • 1 bedroom • 1 bathroom • 1 locker • 1 parking space • 1 rooftop deck
