What TL Insiders can look forward to in February
Including an Eve of St. George performance, a night of sushi and singing, and the launch of the Maclean’s Ideas Summit series
If you’re over winter, we have good news: by this time next month, we’ll be in the home stretch, with only a few weeks left until spring. In the meantime, there are plenty of events happening around the city that will excite and entertain—and keep you distracted from the cold. Don’t miss out on any of these TL Insider events. Plus, enter to win two tickets to a performance of Eve of St. George.
Eve of St. George Contest
This dark, seductive performance by the TranscenDance Project will take audience members into the heart, mind and desires of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. It’s a haunting, immersive production made for the bold and curious—not your typical night at the ballet! TL Insiders have the opportunity to win two tickets to an upcoming Eve of St. George performance. The contest winner will be notified by email on February 7, with performances taking place from February 21 to 24. Good luck!
Sushi and singing—what more could you want in a night out? Join other TL Insiders for an evening of delicious all-you-can-eat sushi plus karaoke jams at Roll This Way in Leslieville. It’s a fun, interactive experience that’s perfect for a first date or a night out with friends. Because the event is happening just before Valentine’s Day, a dress code of red, white and pink is suggested. One sake bomb is included in the ticket price, and the event will take place on February 9. Cheers!
Tricon Maple House Grand Opening
TL Insiders are invited to celebrate the grand opening of Maple House (part of Canary Landing) on February 25. Part of a mixed-use development that includes residential rentals, retail shops and lively public spaces, Maple House is located on Mill Street in Toronto’s downtown east. During the grand opening festivities, guests will sip on signature cocktails to the sounds of a live band. Expect great bartending, passed canapés and delicious food stations by O&B—plus a few surprises.
Maclean’s Ideas Summit: The Year Ahead
We are kicking off the Maclean’s Ideas Summit series on February 28 with the theme “Canada: Are we okay?” Guests will hear from industry leaders on top-of-mind topics for Canadians, including urban mobility, public health, culture and sustainability.
