The Drake album formerly known as Views From the 6 now has a shorter and more baffling name

We and everyone else in the world have long assumed that Drake’s forthcoming album would be called Views from the 6—because that’s what Drake’s people have allowed the press to believe for almost two years. Today, though, with less than 48 hours to go before the record’s release, Drake’s press person at Universal Music Canada sent out a mass email that says, in its entirety:

“Just to clarify—the new Drake record is officially entitled VIEWS. No longer Views From The 6.”

Thank you, Drake, for this master class in being deceived by Drake.
