When the cold has welded your shoulders into a permanent hunch, a steamy soak does wonders. On the third floor of the Sheraton, an indoor-outdoor pool is heated to 28°C year round. A rolling garage-style door bisects the pool, stopping a foot above the water and creating two distinct spaces. Inside, the deck is furnished with modern wicker couches and overstuffed cushions where guests lounge in robes and sip umbrella drinks like it’s July. Slip under the foggy glass door, and suddenly you’re in an urban winter wonderland where mist rises off the water and windblown snow blankets the patio. In the evening, you can float on your back and gaze up at the night sky through a tunnel of skyscrapers. $35 for a day pass, includes gym access and towels. 123 Queen St. W., 416-361-1000.
