Rob Ford—who, to recap, is supposed to be atoning for his sins in rehab right now—appears to have made a discreet visit to Bracebridge and Gravenhurst today. And by “discreet visit” we mean he took photos with a bunch of people and gave the Bracebridge Examiner what will probably turn out to be its best day of web traffic ever. (So, by Ford standards, pretty low-key.) According to the Examiner, the mayor showed up in the vicinity of a Bank of Montreal branch in Bracebridge at around 1:30 p.m., where he chatted with locals. Later, he dropped off a suit at a dry cleaners in Gravenhurst, but not before posing for photos with the staff. The Star points out that the area is home to an addiction treatment centre called GreenStone, which allows patients to leave its facility on day and overnight passes. The Ford family also has a cottage nearby. In any case, it appears the big mystery of Ford’s whereabouts is now very close to being solved. This was bound to happen sooner or later. He’s not the kind of celebrity who can hide behind a baseball cap and a pair of sunglasses.
