Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian’s Elle spread = awkward

Scandalous or sultry?

The Biebs is growing up: he’s writing a tell-all, getting acne, and now he’s getting the transitional I’m-not-a-girl-not-yet-a-woman photo shoot that signals his sexual awakening (shudder). In a new spread for Elle magazine, Bieber and Kim Kardashian evoke scenes from The Graduate, which is all kinds of wrong. Five, to be exact:

1. In the original Graduate, Benjamin Braddock is 21, and Mrs. Robinson is, presumably, in her 40s. Bieber is 16, while Kardashian is 30. Other than the idea of Kardashian seducing someone who’s barely legal, we’re disturbed that she’s considered a MILF at 30.

2. Kardashian got death threats from Bieliebers when the singer said she was cute at a White House correspondents’ dinner. And now she agreed to appear in a provocative photo spread with Bieber. Is this woman suicidal?

3. It’s a little obvious to show Bieber with an iPad to indicate that he’s young. He’s also wearing dark denim, sneakers and a black jacket at the beach.

4. Bieber looks rather uncomfortable throughout the entire “sexy” shoot—his smile is clearly forced. It’s like he’s a kid. Wait a minute...

5. There’s no church scene.
