A Victorian semi with a long renovation history.
This semi started out at a teensy 800 square feet. When the sellers purchased it in 2013, it already had two extensions from previous owners: one of the kitchen, and another that added a dining room. When the sellers added a fourth bedroom, some shoddy work from previous renos forced them to tear down the whole second extension and build a new one, adding another 800 square feet. They listed to upgrade to a detached.

The buyers are a young couple upsizing from a condo in Liberty Village. They fell in love with the neighbourhood and its proximity to parks and transit, and think it will be a good place to grow their family.
There were 103 showings and more than 90 people through the open house, which led to 19 offers. Many were competitive, but the winner was more than $550,000 over asking. According to the agent, it set the record for most expensive semi sold in the West End at the time.
• $1,600,000 • $5,765.21 in taxes (2016) • 1,900 square feet • 7 days on MLS • 4 bedrooms • 3 bathrooms
