The buyer is a Toronto socialite who plans to increase the penthouse’s luxury factor even further: on the 1,800-square-foot terrace, he’s putting in a private pool.

There were six showings and two offers, both of which were over asking. The winning offer works out to a bit more than $1,300 per square foot, which, according to the selling agent, is a record price for both the building and the neighbourhood.
