Opened last year in a neighbourhood where nearly half of residents are renters, Sloane by Fitzrovia has 758 units in three towers. They’re not exactly cheap—rents range from $2,100 to $4,250—but 65 per cent of them are two- or three-bedrooms, a rarity in Toronto. The place has all kinds of amenities for littles: an indoor play area, a kitchen zone, a splash pad and playground, and come September, a Montessori-style daycare. But it also caters to the other end of the age spectrum, with some units incorporating wide doorways and accessible bathrooms. Here are some of the other perks that will make smug homeowners jealous.

Fitzrovia’s third-wave café and bar, 10 Dean, abuts the lobby of the east and west towers.

The 5,900-square-foot Raptors-branded court is modelled after the team’s practice gym.

The Temple is a free 24-hour fitness centre designed by Matt Nichol, a strength and conditioning coach who has trained the Leafs and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, among others.

A movie theatre with private screening rooms featuring plush seats and surround sound. Also on site: a bowling alley, a karaoke lounge, a multi-sports simulator, a rooftop infinity pool and a Scandinavian spa.

“It’s like living at a resort,” says Sloane tenant Rena Robinson. “Great views of the city, amazing staff and lots of fun activities, including a meet-and-greet with Bobby Webster, the GM of the Raptors.”
