Free stuff is always exciting, even when it’s just a crummy doughnut, so this news is pretty great: Patria, the scene-y Spanish restaurant on King West, is giving away a bunch of food this evening as part of the Streets of Spain festival organized by Spanish winery Campo Viejo. From five o’clock onwards, anyone who takes a stroll down the little alleyway beside 461 King West (at Spadina) will be rewarded with free paella, free churros and free wine (all sample-size, but still—a plate of Patria’s paella costs $50 in-house). It almost feels like there must be a catch. As far as we can tell, there really isn’t.
