Pablo Mozo—who has co-owned and operated La Cubana with his chef sister, Corinna Mozo, from the beginning—describes the move as “evolutionary” and hopes that the neighbourhood will be excited for Cuban flavours at breakfast. “When our Roncesvalles location closed, we heard from so many people who missed the breakfasts there,” says Mozo. “So we thought, Why not bring that energy to Ossington? It felt like the right moment to refresh things, to surprise people a little and to give the neighbourhood something they’ve wanted without even realizing it.”
La Cubana’s breakfast menu is now available from Tuesday to Friday, 9 a.m. to noon, and Saturday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
