When Marion Cotillard attended the film festival in 2010, she ruled the red carpet, shopped at Holt Renfrew and partied at the Thompson Hotel (in other words, did TIFF just right). That’s why we’re pleased the stunning French actor will be back this year to promote Rust and Bone, a film by Jacques Audiard about an orca trainer who suffers a horrible accident, and her relationship with a deadbeat dad/wannabe kickboxer (Matthias Schoenaerts). We admit the film sounds a little odd, but critics praised it at Cannes and it has already netted Cotillard a fine helping of Oscar buzz.
