Wondering “What Toronto Said” about the core service review? The Internet has answers

Toronto’s marathon executive committee meeting saw over 160 citizens come out and air their grievances—Festivus-style—before the mayor and his allies. But well before that, about 13,000 people sent in electronic responses to the city’s CSR survey. The city’s own website doesn’t have the friendliest of interfaces for figuring out what, exactly, the people of Toronto want (we’d have thought that would be a point of interest), but fortunately the city’s commitment to sharing its data means that engaged citizens can make their own websites. Toronto-based developer Brian Gilham did just that. His site, “What Toronto Said,” goes live tomorrow, but the beta version can be viewed here.
