According to Global News, the Mercedes CLK-GTR is valued at approximately $13 million, and the vehicle seized in relation to Wedding is one of only six ever manufactured. It is not yet known whether Wedding himself owned the car, but the FBI says it was part of his network, which also included planes, boats and trucks.
Wedding is said to have overseen the trafficking of 60 tonnes of cocaine per year in a multibillion-dollar criminal enterprise. He remains at large and is on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list.
