Since around 8:30 this morning, Toronto firefighters have been trying put out a large blaze at Foamco, a memory-foam mattress factory at 198 Fairbank Avenue, just a block north of Dufferin and Eglinton. As of when this post was written, crews still hadn’t managed to extinguish the fire, which had been upgraded to six alarms—the maximum level of severity, according to the scale used by the city to measure these things.
