Remember LeeAnne McRobb? The woman who, during Rob Ford’s time in rehab, was caught driving his Cadillac Escalade while allegedly intoxicated? She just granted her first extended interview to (who else?) the Toronto Sun. McRobb, who was one of Ford’s fellow patients at the GreeneStone residential treatment facility, doesn’t provide much in the way of explanation for her presence behind the wheel of Ford’s car (she claims that Ford gave her the keys after she loaned her own car to a GreeneStone patient, who returned it damaged), but she does provide some insight into her relationship with the mayor. “[Ford] likes making up these little names he calls people,” she told the Sun. “He tends to call females ‘little birds,’ but he didn’t want to call me that. He called me a ‘little monkey’ because I’d be bouncing around and doing yoga and never [be] in a bad mood. Our friendship grew fast. He said I was his best buddy in rehab.” McRobb denied that her friendship with Ford was romantic, and also disputed the notion that she supplied him with drugs or alcohol during his rehab stay.
