QUOTED: a comic-store clerk, on Kensington's Al Waxman statue being painted to look like the Joker

–While most of the reaction to the recent unauthorized spray-paint makeover of Kensington Market’s Al Waxman statue has been divided into two camps—amused and disgusted—Michael Dillon, a 15-year employee of Silver Snail Comics, registered a slightly more specific aesthetic objection with the Post. “Traditionally the Joker is purple and green,” he added. “The hair should be green.” Way to lend credence the stereotype, comic book guy.
