We were irked when we saw Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wearing LA Dodgers hats at the World Series last week. As the youngest son of Canada’s formal head of state, his loyalty should have been with Toronto, and we considered his wardrobe a treacherous move.
In town this week supporting veterans’ advocacy causes, Prince Harry was expectedly questioned about his enemy allegiance. And he quickly capitulated to CTV’s inquiry.

“Firstly, I would like to apologize to Canada for wearing it. Secondly, I was under duress. There wasn’t much choice,” he said. “I was invited to the LA Dodgers box by the owner himself, so I was doing what I thought was the polite thing to do.”
Actions speak louder than words, and he fully atoned by putting on a Jays hat. “I’m going to wear this from now on,” he said.
Glad that’s settled. Does Meghan need a Jays hat too? There are plenty of styles to choose from.
