Foreign-born people officially outnumber lifelong Canadians in Toronto

—The percentage of Toronto residents who were born in a country other than Canada, according to this year’s Vital Signs report from the Toronto Foundation. (The number is based on 2011 National Household Survey data, though, so the real figure could be a bit more or less.) The number as of the 2006 census was 49.4.
