Forbes validates the existence of the Toronto Maple Leafs

The Maple Leafs may be a perpetual bruise on Toronto’s pride, but at least they’re, um, ridiculously expensive? Once again, Forbes has named the Leafs one of the most valuable sports franchises in the world. Ranked 26 (just behind the Denver Broncos) with a total estimated value of $1.15 billion, the team is the only NHL outfit to have made the top 50 this year. Local sports reporters seem delighted to have something nice to say, for once.
