Best of Fall 2010

Best of Fall 2010

This season, we’re peculiarly obsessed with doom and gloom. And we love it. Our favourite play is about a pensive widow, and our favourite book is about an apocalypse lived out (where else?) in an airport bar. It only gets more macabre: our favourite TV series is about a woman who sucks the life out of her lovers, and our favourite opera is about being locked in a tomb with that special someone (the same thing happens in our favourite movie, but poor Ryan Reynolds is trapped all by his lonesome). What’s behind all this spookiness? It probably has something to do with the vampire craze. Or maybe it’s our unsubtle way of coping with the unpleasant possibility of a city run by a buffoon. Here, the best of the bunch
