Zara has finally brought its ten-year-old decor store to Canada, opening a bright Zara Home shop in the east side of Yorkdale Mall. Like Zara proper, Zara Home releases a new seasonal collection twice a year based on trends in higher-end circles. The current stock, for instance, includes a punchy graphic section full of black-and-white prints, and a beach-inspired line with driftwood mirrors, coral accents and a nautical rope door stop.

Seventy per cent of the store is given over to textiles, with plush towels ($8–$60), patterned sheets ($16–$180), nubbly throws ($40–$300) and quirky cushions ($8–$60). There’s also a smaller selection of tableware, decor accents, loungewear and a children’s line. Furniture is restricted to a few stools and tables ($80–$200). Like Zara, the store receives new shipments twice a week, but doesn’t necessarily replenish its existing stock, which means if you fall in love with something, you’ll have to buy it before it’s gone.
