Casually slinging a coat over your shoulders is not particularly practical. A draped coat won’t keep you warm—and just try reaching into your purse without sending your makeshift cape sliding to the ground (don’t even think about trying to wave). Despite icy breezes and obvious annoyances, however, the runway fans at David Pecaut Square this week seemed determined to avoid the the armholes on their outerwear. How else to show off every single layer of a painstakingly chosen outfit? There is one upside, of course: no need to wait in line for coat check.
