Chloé Comme Parris knows a thing or two about pretty young things

Chloé Comme Parris, designed by sisters Chloé and Parris Gordon, is a relative newcomer to LG Fashion Week, but it’s on its way to becoming our favourite label, especially after yesterday afternoon’s sophomore showing. The show didn’t bring out boldface names, save The Avenue’s own Arta Ghanbari (we’re sorry to report she’s much nicer in person), but that allowed us to focus on the clothes. Check out a full rundown of the collection below.

Textures were in abundance, with velvet leggings, chunky knit sweaters and gauzy skirts offering cool, witchy vibes. It was as if MTV’s Daria moved to New York and got a job at Jane magazine. We loved the buckles and crystals on sweaters that swayed and clanged wildly as models horse-trotted down the runway (if you’re planning a career as a cat burglar, look elsewhere for clothing options), though during the closing walk, one of the crystal strings broke apart, sending glass flying across the catwalk. Our hopes for a model pile-up were shattered though, as the ladies deftly skipped over the clear baubles. Next time, we’ll have to stick our feet out a bit farther.
