Canada’s Best Beauty Talent, episode 12: there is still no winner
This episode is the worst yet. We have no trouble saying this, because, after the promise of an actual, legit conclusion to the series, we are still left wondering who won. Marcia is up first for judging, and every single judge says exactly the same thing: she’s a great makeup artist, but her two looks do not dazzle. Why on earth does this take five minutes to report? And why couldn’t each judge say something constructive? We don’t see Marcia rolling her eyes, but as soon as Lisa Tant takes her turn to offer her own variation of the hive-mind opinion (she says it doesn’t “razzle dazzle”), our eyes roll for her. At least when Caylee shows up for judging, there’s a somewhat constructed faux rivalry developing between Coco Rocha and Tant. Rocha apparently loves Caylee’s two hairstyles, while Tant is “overwhelmed and underwhelmed.” Caylee’s hair-noose is referred to as a beard several times before the judging is over, and then Rocha drops the bomb: the show is technically not over. The viewers (we’re not the only ones?) now have to vote for their favourite online. Let the record show that this reality web series knows how to appease its sponsors…but not our curiosity.

I’m the type of person who loves to get my fashion/beauty fix in anyway that i can. I tend to watch all the reality shows that favour these topics.
However, I do have to agree with you, this show has been a dud, at least for the makeup application. Who knew so much work was put into a clean makeup look (oh wow! she mixed a clear mascara and a cream eyeshadow…) but nothing has really shown me that any contestant could compete on a world stage. Except for Caylee, she’s the most daring (and that isn’t saying much in this competition) and I think this competition was quite limiting to her creativity. As much as i like Marcia if Caylee doesn’t win this show is complete flop.
I do not drop a ton of responses, but i did some searching and wound up here Canada’s Best Beauty Talent, episode 12: there is still no winner | Cuckoo for Coco | torontolife.com.
And I actually do have some questions for you if you
don’t mind. Could it be only me or does it look like some of the comments come across like written by brain dead people? :-P And, if you are writing at other places, I’d like to keep up with anything fresh you have to post. Would you list of every one of your social pages like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?

I thought the show could have spent more time highlighting the process of BOTH the hairstylists and makeup artists. However, this is a webseries and most definitely was likely a 10 hour shoot condensed into 10 minutes!
Blame it on the editing- not the talent! And yes…wow…for me and the average woman….I did not ever think of mixing a clear mascara with eyeshadow! Thumbs up to Marcy!
I think both ladies did a great job but I dont think they should have been pitted against each other. Makeup and hair are two very different things! I thought that was weird – the trip should have been given to both of them!
We can all learn a lot from the conversation Marica had with Caylee, during this last competetion. Marcia asked Caylee what her direction was so she could complement her hair. And after the judging was over, Marcia said again that her goal has always been to work with the hairsylist to make the clients look good. My vote is for Marcia because she is a real Team player and is not one who will seek her own agenda, just to make herself look good. Keep up the good work, Marcia.
