The Grid has wrangled an update on One Bloor, the grandiose condo plan that blew up along with the rest of the real estate market in 2008. Hariri Pontarini Architects—the Toronto-based firm that took charge of the resurrected project last year—has made a few changes to the new plan, not the least of which is five additional floors, bringing the total to 70 (still 10 shy of the pre-recession blueprint). That translates to 732 total units, ranging in price from $511,990 to $1.7 million. It’s anyone’s guess as to how much the penthouse, which could be as large as 8,000 square feet, will cost. The building is also designed to leave no resident wanting for amenities: the six and seventh floor feature indoor pools, cold and hot tubs, ice fountains, a billiards room, bar and lounge, fitness room, yoga studio and a series of outdoor pools. There’s also direct access to the Yonge-University and Bloor subway lines—if tenants ever need to leave the building. Read the entire story [The Grid] »
