Neighbourhood: Yonge-St. Clair
Price: $3,295,000 Previously sold for: $2,250,000 Size: 2,374 square feet Bedrooms: 4+1 Bathrooms: 5 Parking spot: 1 Real estate agents: Catherine Russell, Chestnut Park Real Estate

The Place

A four-plus-one-bedroom, five-bathroom, two-and-a-half-storey detached sandwiched between Yonge and Avenue Road. The home comes with an open-concept main floor, a patio-parking-pad combo and a huge south-facing backyard. It’s within walking distance of the Beltline Trail, Mount Pleasant Cemetery and Upper Canada College. And motorists are a short drive from both Allen Road and the DVP.

The History

In April of 2023, the current owner of this property, a widower, bought the house for $2.25 million after moving back to Toronto from San Francisco with his two children. He gutted it, converted one of the bedrooms into a bathroom, and added engineered white-oak floors throughout. The owner has since found a new partner, and the two blended their families in the latter’s house, so the home is back on the market.
