According to our foodie spies, supermarket chain Longo’s recently added the hybrid pastry to its bakery lineup. Meanwhile, over six months after the dessert made its game-changing debut, the international obsession continues unabated. The latest news on the Cronut front: Manhattan chef Dominique Ansel recently unveiled a new online Cronut ordering system (which proceeded to sell out of the goodies in under one minute); the Champagne Christmas Cronut made its culinary debut; and Time magazine named the coveted pastry one of the year’s 25 best inventions.
