A $25 cocktail in this economy? These days, the soaring cost of just about everything can make going out for dinner and drinks feel more like a slog than a good time.

So, in order to get more bums in seats, restaurants and bars across the city are introducing new ways to make dining out more affordable. And as of today, the Well is introducing its own happy hour—which is actually a collection of happy hours—called the Well After Dark.

From Thursday to Saturday, starting at 9 p.m., visitors to the Well will be treated to an array of discounted snacks and drinks at La Plume, the Dorset, Bridgette Bar, Lulu Bar and National.

The drink offerings are pretty consistent at each venue, with $4 glasses of beer, $5 bar rail, $6 glasses of wine, $10 cocktails and half-price bottles of wine. But there’s a variety of meal deals, including taro tots at Lulu Bar ($6), margherita pizza at Bridgette Bar ($10), and fish and chips at the Dorset ($20). Do the math: that’s a meal and a drink for less than your average espresso martini.

There’s even a special weekly draw that guests can enter for a chance to win a $250 gift card from that week’s featured restaurant. Each entry also counts toward the grand prize: $1,000 to spend at the winner’s choice of participating restaurants.

But the best part of this happy-hour bar hop? There’s no trudging down streets, just popping in and out of the nearby restaurants—which will be a real blessing when it feels like minus 30 (and those days are just around the corner).
