Toronto summer isn’t all pool parties and patios. Sticky streetcar commutes, heat-ravaged hairdos and countless street closures can leave nerves frazzled. A new food truck called Sweet Snow Shave Ice provides a refreshing antidote: cups of fluffy sweetened snow, shaved daily from a block of ice, in flavours like lychee, watermelon and root beer. With all-natural sweeteners, biodegradable cups and add-ons that include adzuki beans and condensed milk, it’s the foodie’s answer to a corner store slushie.
