I’m not a smoker, I don’t like it. But I just don’t like government getting involved telling people where they can smoke, where they can’t. [...] We have enough restrictions on smoking as is.

Rob Ford spoke out against the Toronto Board of Health’s decision earlier this week to approve a proposal to ban ciggies on bar and restaurant patios (as well as beaches, city squares and sports fields). As Ford made clear, his opposition to the initiative is purely ideological, since he actually hates the smell of smoke. Er...cigarette smoke, that is. [Toronto Star]
