We’re not pretending that it’s a healthy product. You’re talking about a hamburger and pizza wrapped together.

Brad Bevill, vice-president of marketing for Boston Pizza, on the Canadian chain’s 1,360-calorie marketing gimmick: a half-pound burger topped with tomato sauce and mozzarella, wrapped in pizza dough and crowned with lettuce, tomato and a pickle spear. After testing the cheeseburger-slash-pizza in Canada over the summer, Boston Pizza takes the monstrosity stateside this fall, hopefully with a less offensive ad campaign than last June’s Ribneck fiasco.
