Celine Dion is not popular here, which I think speaks well of the city.

Anthony Bourdain praising Toronto’s shrewd musical preferences in an interview with Ivy Knight for the Globe and Mail conducted during his recent stopover in the city. The celebrity chef also praised the this city’s “niche mentality,” naming spots dedicated to porchetta and “hipster poutine” (i.e. Porchetta and Co. and Poutini’s) as something he likes to see. Despite his high praise for the Great White North, don’t expect Bourdain back any time soon: he told Knight on Swallow that he’s “in [America] thick or thin”—and that’s even if Romney gets elected.
