$15.95 | Niagara Peninsula | 91 points LCBO shelves are flush with pink wines at this time of year, and while most are dry, they vary incredibly in approach and quality. This bottle has been a leading Niagara rosé for several seasons, and it’s a highlight again this year, among the best you can buy.
The taste: The nose is gentle, complex and slightly perfumed with strawberry-currant fruit aromas, as well as a touch of lavender and grapefruit. It’s mid-weight, fresh and very elegant. A hint of sweetness, but not at all out of balance. Focused and very pleasant.
How to enjoy it: First, don’t over-chill this one and rob it of its nuances. It will sip easily without food, but it will also enhance mild, elegant hors d’oeuvres. Some bolder rosés might work with strong dishes like grilled salmon, say, but this is suited more to casually sipping on a warm evening.
