The Place: The former bank building, revamped by British designer Martin Brudnizki, feels a bit like a retro gentlemen’s club with art deco floor tiles and staid leather seating. Other details add fun, like a vintage photo booth and a rainbow-hued mural by Douglas Coupland. A miniature outpost of the Drake General Store is housed in an antique glass-fronted cabinet.

The Numbers: • 6,000 square feet • 34-ounce steaks come with sea salt, grainy mustard and a personal-size pepper grinder • $25 for the Baller Manhattan • 10 months to renovate the space, which used to be a bank • 3 teddy bears for sale in the miniature general store
