Charles Khabouth’s latest venture may be his most outrageous yet. The Toronto nightclub and restaurant impresario is opening Cabana Pool Bar, a sprawling daytime counterpart to his faddish clubs that’s scheduled to open at Polson Pier in mid-June. The new spot is inspired by the kind of all-day partying characteristic of Miami and Las Vegas, and with a 50,000-square-foot space, 12 private cabanas, 42 deluxe chaise lounges and room for 2,500 people, it makes Toronto’s other resident rooftop swim-and-party spot, the Thompson Hotel’s rooftop lounge, look like a kiddie pool.
