MTV Canada has teamed up with MSN Messenger to create a Web series, calling on the young people of Canada to come up with a three-minute YouTube video about how awesome they and their friends are. The fame hungry are encouraged to Tweet, Facebook and, naturally, MSN Messenger to get votes for their potential Web fame. We couldn’t subject ourselves to sitting through all the entries, but think 20-something PYTs, fake drama and plenty of “like, and, um, and like” and you’ve got a pretty good idea. Andy Warhol and his 15 minutes of fame prediction has never seemed so prescient. Maybe we’re just getting old, but we prefer our reality shows to feature washed-up actors or gross-out survival challenges. But if you think you’ve got what it takes to be more of an Internet sensation than Chocolate Rain, MTV is accepting entries until June 27.
