Lineup for Marilyn Denis’ new show surprisingly awesome
Bulletproof broadcasting queen Marilyn Denis has announced the roster of guests for her new eponymous daytime talk show on CTV, and dare we say it’s way better than expected? The new program has been in the works since she left CityLine in 2008 after 19 years with Citytv. Desperate Housewives star James Denton will be the gabfest’s first celeb invitee when the show launches next Monday; appearances by singer Josh Groban, action superstar and sometime Torontonian Maggie Q (Nikita), model Jessica Stam and Brandon Walsh Jason Priestley will follow later in the week. Viewers will also be treated to visits by designer Alfred Sung, chef Mark McEwan and fitness guru Suzanne Somers, although we’re most looking forward to witnessing the shrieks (i.e., ours) guaranteed to greet press-shy Friday Night Lights running back Taylor Kitsch, in town to promote his new movie, The Bang Bang Club.
Maybe if you’re version of awesome is literally THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF EVERYONE ELSE’S.
The B-LIST called they’d like some of their listees back…
Dear Lord, that pic of her looks a hell of a lot like Shaye Saint John :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXZ6sHflaQM&feature=related
Christ, was so excited about the headlines, read the list of stars and went WTF?!!! Get real Toronto Life on your definition of awesome.
ho hum the same old loosers, Mark McEwan to bore us again,
When your new CD debuts on Billboard’s Top Five and your skit on Jimmy Kimmel gets 1.2 million hits on You-Tube, you are the very definition of the word “Awesome”. That would be Josh Groban to anyone still out of touch with Pop Culture.
Marilyn Denis was never a super model, but she was pleasant-looking and REAL… Now I look at her, and I feel sorry for her. What happened? Who is her plastic surgeon?? Marilyn’s face is overdone and just looks weird now. Not trying to be catty, but someone has to tell her.
When is Stam showing?
So very sad that Marilyn has resorted to botox/cosmetic surgery. She looks fake. Her lips are weird. Her skin won’t move. I liked marilyn… down to earth and so much personality, that her looks did not matter. Now I find her hard to look at. Won’t be watching the show because of it. What a mess her face is now. Poor Marilyn.
Who is Josh Groban?
Tried to watch – can’t – she used to live near me and she had such a lovely face – why did she ruin it – maybe the cameras should back off close ups!!!
Absolutely loved her to pieces, mourned the old show, couldn’t wait until she had the new one. . . can’t watch it because of what she did to her face, it’s literally creepy. How really sad.
I have to agree with some of the previous comments…I, too, was looking forward to watching Marilyn’s new show, but her
face is so distracting and not at all pleasant looking. I will find it difficult to watch with this distraction.
Aging, naturally, is a privilege and a gift…”old” is not a disease that needs to be fixed…it’s something that many people don’t get the chance to experience.
I couldn’t wait to tune in to see Marilyns new show and was shocked to see all the mess made of her mouth and who did her hair I wanted to reach out and fix those bangs. Then Marilyn started talking. She was talking over her guests and asking crazy and uncomfortable questions.
Marilyn please go back to being yourself and not a plastic doll. So turned off.
I hadn’t seen Marily in years and when I saw her with Beverly Thomson on Canada A.M. talking about her new show I thought she look so fake. Why do people do this plastic surgery. Some can pull it off but most just ruin their face.
I tuned in to watch her show, and I really am sorry to say this, but I can’t stand looking at her face now – she looks so absolutely fake – she’s a younger version of Joan Rivers – why would someone do that to their face? It is so taunt that when I look at her, when she smiles – it looks like it hurts – really liked her old show but I don’t think I’ll be watching very much – it just irks me when I look at her face to see that she was so vain that even though everyone knows how old she is, that she is trying to look younger – but in this case, it all looks so phony!!!!! Sorry Marilyn, you’ve got a great sense of what people want to see on TV – but you’ve just lost me as a viewer – it really does pain me to look at you on the TV,
Have to agree with most of these comments, her face is distracting, puffy and odd. When she smiles…ug, looks like a garish jackolantern with all that pulling and tugging.
She’s also not being dressed/styled age appropriatly. Those tragic hipster skinny jeans worn too long, bagging around the ankles along with platform heels….cummon. On a 20 yr old it can be forgiven but a grown woman shouldn’t fall for that trendy goofyness. Have your pants tailored to suit your body type, and choose the trends and styles that suit you instead of looking some baggy saggy stumpy legged pear in mall styles.
Great interviewer, great personality and I was so looking forward to having her back, but…just too hard to ignore all the visuals. When did she lose control of her image and self confidence?
I actually found this article by googling “what is wrong with marilyn denis’s face”. I thought maybe she had had a stroke…sad that someone did that to themselves willingly.
I have to agree with most of the people here. I used to enjoy Marilyn when she first came to CityLine. Then she changed, unfortunately. She used to be funny and real. Now I can’t watch her, can’t even listen to her! She’s plastic, pompous, elitist … too many adjectives! I was hoping she would go back to her former self for her new show. Too bad really.
CTV can you put back on the re-runs of Sue Thomas FBI????? That’s much better entertainment!
Also found this article by googling “What’s wrong with Marilyn Denis’ face” … I was looking forward to the show but it’s absolutely unwatchable because she’s gone from looking like a neighbour to looking sadly blown up. I can’t believe the media could comment on her show and not even mention her freaky botox. The lineup is about what I expected but if I’m tuning in, it would have been for Denis… very sad that she resorted to this and didn’t understand that she was getting the show for being real and likable, not stretched and phony.
Also shocked that the media hasn’t yet commented on her Balinese death mask of a face.
I don’t know what the hell’s going on there at CTV what with Leah Miller and now Marilyn. They look like Chucky dolls that have emerged from meth lab fires.
@Meow Meow and all … I had to share. Google’d “Marylin Denis Plastic Surgery” b/c I was quite curious about the mess she did to herself and got the following hilarity:
Q: Who did Marilyn Denis’ plastic surgery?
A: The same person who did Leah Miller’s, by the looks of it. I think there’s a really bad plastic surgeon out there who gives mad discounts to CTV employees.
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Who_did_marilyn_denis_plastic_surgery
I agree with everyone on this comment section. I remember Marilyn of old & just can’t watch someone with such a stretched back face, botoxed & a bad lip job. It’s just way too distracting & there’s no expression on her face.
As a follow-up to bad decisions … Why the Hell did Cabbie from the Score jump from the Score to the Marilyn Denis show?!??!?!? For God sakes … I thought he was going on to bigger and better things … Like ESPN or something? But the Marilyn Denis show? Bad move … Bad bad move.
For gosh sakes… leave her alone! I too wondered where Marilyn went when I tuned in to Cityline one rare day… I was sad to see another in her place. I was happy for her when I heard her new show announced. I think she is doing a great job… and will just continue to get better as time moves on. She has nervous jitters her first week back…. that’s to be expected.
I believe these critical comments come from individuals who are simply unhappy with their own lives and can’s see the forest for the trees.
Turn the news on this evening and see real devastation in the world and be happy that we live in Canada and have the freedom to be whom we want to be and do what we want to do. If you don’t like the show flip the channel… another free choice move for you!
Congrats Marilyn… I wish you all the very best!… E
Oh please Eileen – try watching her show in HD or something. I agree with “Balinese death mask” and Chucky doll – wow what a mess her face is now.
Can’t believe what Marilyn did to herself -garish, unnatural and hard to look at. Sorry, Marilyn — we’re the same age and I prefer a woman to look her age — I feel sorry when I see a “successful” woman with work done. To me, it is self-denial and self-mutilization. Ugh — won’t be watching!
I too was looking forward to her new show. When I tuned in I had to look away. I can not bear to look at her and her face. I don’t even know where to start with her face. I felt so sorry for her and wanted to reach in to the tv and slap her silly for what she has done to herself. I can not watch the show anymore. It makes me very uncomfortable. I will keep on watching cityline with the new host, who I thought was annoying but I now appreciate. At least she is a real person, not an insecure plastic-surgically enhanced has-been. Sorry Marilyn. I was once on your side.
Marilyn is one of the best on air personalities ever! The person who does Cityline now is incredibly boring and has very little personality or connection to the audience.
@Cassandra, “who is Josh Groban”, *LOL* Exactly!
Life after 40 in the world of HD kind means cosmetic surgery is a base requirement for nearly 100% of everyone you see on the air – I say get over it – botox usage shouldn’t be shocking to anyone these days.
As for the bashing of her new line-up…I guess you’re all so used to the amazing talent showcased on Breakfast Television and Cityline? Come on, for Canadian morning television she’s absolutely as good as it gets and everyone knows it.
I tuned in to the new show, hoping to hear Josh Groban SING. Imagine my disappointment when Marilyn engaged him in verbal clutter. I was mesmerized by Marilyn’s new face and not in a good way. What was she thinking and did she ask for a refund? I cannot watch the show.
I was so excited to see Marilyn back on the air only to find out she has been surgically transformed into Sally Jessy Raphael.
I think Marilyn’s doctor is Dr. Stephen Mulholland. He was her resident plastic surgeon on CityLine and if you ask me, if it was him, he’s butchered her face. His wife is Ann Kaplan and she looks almost as bad as Marilyn. I think it’s horrible what has happened to her and one has to know when to stop. It looks like she’s had a multitude of surgeries including face lift, neck lift, brow lift, cheek implants, chin implant, way too much botox – everywhere on her face and filler in her lips. Brutal
I have to agree with previous commends about her face..
It’s distracting to the point of making it uncomfortable for me to watch the show.
She looks uncomfortable and acts very stiff on camera now. Whereas before, acting natural and being at ease was pretty much her “thing”.
I saw her with Suzanne Sommers the other day and the effect of seeing both their faces in HD on a big screen TV was horrifying..
Ms. Sommers looks so bizarre now that I had a hard time believing it was really her.. and not a drag impersonator.
Yikes!
I was interested in watching the new Marilyn Denis show and was sad to see her leave Cityline. However, on this new show, I found myself strangely fixated on her lips. After awhile I realized that I had no idea what she was talking about and neither did I care. All I cared about was trying to make sense of and understand that strange puffy crooked upper lip. Sorry Marilyn, but whoever did your lip needs to fix it or something. Sue them and reveal the name to the public so that some other woman does not suffer the same fate. I also tend to believe it was the often featured Dr. Stephen Mulholland from Cityline.
I can’t stop staring at one side of her lip that is puffed with Botox or drooping or something. It is very distracting. I’m not sure I will continue to tune in as I get irritated about her choice to have that ridiculous plastic surgery. I want to support her show though. Maybe I’ll take off my glasses to watch so she’s blurry.
Agreed. I have always liked her down-to-earth personality but sadly, I will also not be tuning in to her new show. I watched the premiere and was so embarrassed for the poor woman. Obviously, noone was paying attentiion to the content of her show–they were too busy trying to lift their jaws off the floor over the freakishness of her face. I sure hope it’s reversible!
Marilyn’s face is an embarassment to Canadians. She might as well go south and live in the U.S. where all they care about is looks. She ruined her face and she is not even old. I can’t wait to see the day when we start giving newborn babies plastic surgery. I am positive that day is coming. Marilyn I can’t watch you on T.V anymore either, your face scares me now.
Come on people, give her a break! Marilyn has a great personality that trumps her appearance. She is entertaining, witty and an engaging host and interviewer. Yes, she has obviously fallen into the trappings of plastic surgery pressure especially since she was less than model perfect to begin with. Of course she feels the enormous pressure to conform for the television. How about the addition of Oprah’s cameras with “soft focus effects” to take the edges off. Hellooo CTV folks?? Pay attention to the details! Even Christopher Plummer was tough to watch with his rosacea/purple nose. Don’t let a great personality go to waste. (As for Leah Miller – she is young, beautiful and has no excuse for her ridiculous surgical intervention.) Love your show Marilyn.
No offense, Louise, but you’re an idiot. In all your crowing, you’re not simply defending Marilyn Denis, but far worse, you’re defending a new era of female self-hate and media / public expectation.
IT’S DISGUSTING.
I can barely stand looking at her taut face! I will rarely be watching the show because I really can’t believe how fake she looks and her mouth is to tight, her cheeks are too plump and barely move. Poor woman! Ugh, and to think she probably think she actually looks good! Too much plastic surgery!
Forget how she looks – she’s boring!!! She asks ridiculous questions, strays continuously off topic and has no enthusiasm. Comparing her performance between shows it’s as if it is not the same host.
I also googled “What happened to Marilyn Denis face”. Can’t watch her now for her disturbing appearance and horrible hosting skills. Embarassing. I give her 3 months. Watch Hoda and Kathie Lee on NBC instead, better banter. Shocked to see Suzanne Somers face on Marilyn’s show. Her skin was all bumpy and motled, what happened??? It looked like heavily made up cottage cheese. And she’s giving beauty advise? She has a lovely figure though. Would love to hear from CTV staff about seeing those two faces in person. Did anyone else see Suzannes’ skin?
give her a break she is good looking still and what does it really matter watch her show if you like it and if you don’t change the channel. But get over it.
She looks great still, give her a break.
I tuned into her show by mistake the other day and I thought she was Dustin Hoffman in “Tootsie.”
I think Marilyn is a breath of fresh air. I love her and her new show. I do watch in HD and feel that you are ALL being very mean spirited. I cannot say that I agree with any of you who are saying these terrible things about her. I find her to have a pretty face and love the new show and love her interviewing skills. Do any of you concern yourselves about how much your comments are hurting this lovely lady?
Ouch! I’m with the Marilyn supporters! You guys are kind of mean! The work she’s had done isn’t great, I’m with you there and I think she has alluded to not being totally happy with her lips on the show even! But she’s such a breath of fresh air. Natural, fun…the kind of person you’d like to have in your own circle of friends. Her guests seem to be engaged and enjoy the interviews…her questions are well researched and curious. She sure beats the heck out of her replacement on City Line, overbearing and ever so irritating. We all make bad decisions….let her move on and concentrate on the good stuff! Enjoy the show, Marilyn, and keep up the good work!
From the comments you’d think she looked like Jocelyn Wildenstein. It’s obvious she’s had work done because we all know what she looked like but I don’t think she looks overdone. On the contrary I think she looks great although she looks even better in those vanity screen shots.
I watched the Marilyn show many years ago and enjoyed it. Moved out of the country for 3 years and am back and enjoying her once again. I figured she had something done and I think she looks great. It’s the old “don’t hate me because I’m beautiful” syndrome! She’s a terrific interviewer; has a wonderful up-beat personality; and it is obvious on her program that people are confortable with her and she looks confortable and carries her new look beautifully. I agree with a previous comment that all the negatives are from people who are not comfortable in their own skin. Go Marilyn…continued success!
@ Diane :
Denis’ detractors are “not comfortable in their own skin”? Interesting. What, then, would you say of Denis herself who actually PAYS SOMEONE TO CUT UP AND REARRANGE HER FACE AS IF SHE WERE WALKING CUBISM?????????
Marilyn,
So glad to see you back on TV. Missed seeing you on Cityline, it’s never been the same since you left. Look forward to your future shows. Cam has to find another venue other than the hockey arena.
Boy – as if it isn’t hard enough for “women of a certain age” to get movie roles, TV shows etc. If we spend all our time tearing each other down and being so ungenerous to our own sex we validate the practice and perpetuate the problem. While public figures are considered fair game the fixation on her looks speaks volumes about the ungenerous writers and their own priorities and insecurities. Shame on you. You go, Marilyn!
Read some of the comments. I too was so sad to see Marilyn leave Cityline. Marilyn was a breath of fresh air, funny, compassionate and thoughtful. I have watched her from the beginning and she really has earned her success.
When I eagerly tuned in to her new show I was very distracted by her face. However, Marilyn did not get where she is by shying away from her detractor’s. She is going to become more comfortable in her new post…perhaps address some of the viewer concerns…although it is really none of our business…and we will once again make her a part of our day, just like before.
Good Luck Marilyn. I think you are our “Oprah of Canada.”
“Oprah of Canada” is not necessarily a compliment!
Her face is way too tight. Watch her profile shots and her face barely moves when she talks. What price fame? So sad.
Doesn’t matter much, since she is such a boring personality and the show isn’t all that interesting. Simply rehashing old news and subjects covered elsewhere. For those that live vicariously through people of the tube… enjoy the show.
Marilyn Denis is wonderful. She knows how to interview without cutting people off and she really listens to her guests. So what if she had plastic surgery? At least she admits this and what about her hair? It’s real, not like Tracy Moore’s hideous wigs on Cityline….those look like mops on her head.
I think I must be losing my eyesight!!! I don’t find Marilyn’s face has changed that much and it certainly isn’t as bad as these hurtful comments! I find her hair is certainly needing some TLC though…I don’t think personally women of her age ever look good with their hair that long! She looks better with it “up” and would even look better with it cut short!
Her show is better now that it’s the end of February and the wrinkles have been ironed out. Having Elton John for March 1st is a real score for her!! I saw him out here in Victoria and LOVED his 3 hour plus concert!!
Keep up the good work Marilyn…we 50+ aged women out here really appreciate your show!!
what a shame I always though she was attractive but whatever she did to her face recently is just scary. She should have left well enough alone
I used to watch the old show, and the new show is great, I have to agree with most of the comments re: her new look. She looks like she has had a stroke, with one lip larger than the other side, her mouth is now crooked, and her eyes look squinty….it is too bad she had to think she needed to look younger but it is unfortunate that her surgery didn’t work out, she said she didn’t have any surgery on one program, but I find that hard to believe, either she had no surgery and she had a stroke then…because her mouth is droopy like someone who has had a stroke, bells palsy or nerve damage.
I totally disagree with the above comments on Marilyn’s look I love it. She is a sassy, with it gal and she does not go down without a fight to the finish. She is terrific and so is her new show.
Most woman that cannot afford Botox or whatever or are afraid well they should just shush, let the woman that has never listened to how to do something better and not listened be able to comment but there is no such a woman. All woman want to look their best truth be told and how we do it is not the issue and it should be nobody’s buzz in anycase.
Go Marilyn, go your show is wonderful and I see you are across the country and I and my friends love you. Never did get to one of your shows in the past will definately try to make it to your new one.
We like your style you are gutsy and speak for women everywhere that do not have the opportunity to a voice,
“Thank you,” and we love the little things about dressing and all the other goodies that is for the feminine side.
I consider myself to be a dynamic travel consultant one of the best. I am a CTM – Certified Travel Manager. You are for sure a CTM as well Ceritfied Talk Maker. I would love to arrange your next vacation and be your Travel Counsellor
you would be well taken care off.
I am too a single Mom with a 22year old son, and I remember when you had yours we are somewhat in sink as well as two of my friends so we are sorry we never made it and we all want to you to be strong against the spiteful jargon that is sent to you. Keep up the awesome job. Take care Marion
It seems as though most of those who’ve commented aren’t or never have been Marilyn Denis fans. How many other TV personalities have you trashed?? She hasn’t changed; she’s still that vibrant, entertaining, informative show hostess that we saw on CityLine. And she continues to be very well respected by all of her guests. And, what a great line up of guests she’s had so far — I particularly enjoyed it when she interviewed all the men from “Flashpoint”; made me proud to be Canadian. You know, most of you sound as if you’re mad at her or offended by her having the surgery — quite frankly, it’s none of your business!
I thoroughly enjoyed Marilyn on Cityline and was very disappointed when she suddenly disappeared from the screen. I found here quite charming on her previous show, not afraid to make jokes at her own expense, and easy going. I enjoyed as well her guests and her interactions with them. I was really pleased when I learned she is going to have a new show. After the two shows, I stopped watching. She looks horrible. I am a 60 year old woman with no Botox, or plastic surgery but I look like a baby face compare to her. She looks very odd, almost like the part of her face is paralyzed. I see no point for a woman (even TV show personality) to pretend she is younger. Whatever surgery & treatment had been done to her face, did not improve anything in her appearance. Sadly, the opposite is truth.
I find her show a bit boring….would rather watch Steven and Chris. She does look strange, but I don’t watch her show because like I said it is boring.
It seems to mean that when people post mean spirited comments about how someone looks, they should be required to post a photo of themselves so we can all judge just how perfect they are.
I for one am very happy to have Marilyn back on TV.
I PVR’d the show for 2 wks then stopped. Marilyn does not seem natural, she’s a different woman now. Yes, people change but I thought the woman I saw on Cityline was real. Now it’s almost like she’s trying too hard. I don’t like the way the audience has to turn their heads sideways, I don’t care for the guy who’s supposed to be her sidekick either. I know there’s going to be growing pains with a new show but seriously make it better or cancel it! As for Marilyn’s appearance, it’s irrelevant. There’s so much makeup on TV celebs to start with, none of them look like themself anyway.
I watched her show yesterday. She looks pregnant. Is this true?
I was sooo excited about her new show! But oh my lord is it a snore. It’s not marylin’s fault– she’s bringing the same approach as she did in Cityline, and I was a big fan of that show. But the format, the pace falls flat. The whole thing just doesn’t gel. I think the network is trying too hard to replicate the past. And they are failing miserably.
All you posters who say they can’t or don’t watch Marilyn’s new show bc of her face…..shame on you !! I mean really , perhaps don’t watch bc you don’t enjoy the format or it isn’t just like the old show or whatever, but not bc of how she looks!!! Honestly people, how rude . Marilyn is still Marilyn as a person and I think she is awesome just the way she is. Get a life .
Not only is her face overdone, but for a woman who had a show all those years teaching people how to dress. her clothing is poorly tailored and often inappropriately freaky for her age group.
What a shame about Marilyn’s face. She should have left well enough alone. She was an attractive woman aging naturally. Now I suspect she has either done Botox or gone under the knife and no longer looks real. She also should have some direction on how to cloth her now middle-aged figure in a more suitable way.
I’m so sorry, Marilyn, for the comments on this site. We get beaten up every day not only by ourselves, but so many other people unnecessarily. It’s so disheartening to read some of the malicious comments being made here. What happened to, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” What have you gained personally by spreading such hatred? Enough already!
Sour grapes, I say! Marilyn you look great,if indeed you got botox, good on yah! I find your humor, sometimes self affacing (I like that), I can relate. I like how you honestly get excited when you meet other celebrities, like Sir Elton John…Im amazed you can actually put a sentence together..I would be tough tied. Anyways, cant believe Im actually writing to a celebrity…just hated the negative cruel feedback. Keep creating those interesting shows! So glad your back for my morning coffee break.
Oh Marilyn, I hope you have a good laugh at all these nasty comments because they are laughable!! I agree with the “sour grapes” comment and the “don’t say anything if you don’t have something nice to say” comment too! You are who you are and I am so glad you are back on TV. Ignore the bad comments….your fans love you! We are all aging…and fighting it every step of the way!!
Yes someone tell Marilyn to stop and have it reversed, I agree with the other people, I was looking forward to watching her and I can’t even stand to look at her, she has wrecked her beautiful face, she used to be so pretty, not at all now, she can’t smile, her whole face looks fake….some good friend of her tell her to stop and see if it can be reversed, Marilyn you have wrecked your beauty.
Wow!!! What nasty comments. I agree with Eileen’s earlier comments…”leave her alone”. I looked for Marilyn’s site because I wanted to say how much I enjoy her new show. I think she is everything a host should be…exciting, informative and connecting with her audience. I love it!!
Please people, get off this plastic surgery wagon. People never fail to amaze me as to how cruel they can be.
The show is SNOOZEVILLE!!!! And THE FACE, so weird not pleasant at all!!! Whatever happened to growing old gracefully?????!!!!!
I love you and your show!! You have such a God given Gift of hospitality! People feel so loved around you… you will always rise above.. God bless you! You’re amazing woman!!!! oxo
I love your show. You have God’s gift of hospitality and compassion. You’re absolutely fabulous inside and out! Thanks for making mine and those lives you touch so amazing xoxo
I’ve loved you for so long because you know what it’s like to live in a man’s world and suceed. I love your show, you have God’s heart of hospitality and compassion. I wish you 50 yrs of air time… You’re beautiful inside and out!
the show went through a re-vamp this summer- and its still terrible. There’s nothing inspiring and it doesn’t differentiate itself from cityline or canada am. they need to replace whoever is in charge of the show. Someone with creativity and originality please! Otherwise everyone will be switching the channel.
If you can’t say anything ‘nice’ or positive, don’t say anything at all…
Watch another show….
Has Marilyn just had surgery on her eyes., looks like Joan Rivers eyes., all slanted.
The SHOW IS IMPROVING with every episode! Marilyn’s “uniform” is a casual pant, top, blazer and heals. She looks stylish and comfortable and not over-done. It’s a style that can easily be adopted. What is it with people? Once we reach 50 we have to relinquish being stylish for a stiff look. Marilyn likes to take care of herself and if getting a little nip and tuck is her thing -so be it. I just wish people wouldn’t be so ignorant and attack a person’s appearance. Shame on you!
