As director of Toronto’s Division Gallery and co-chair of this year’s Power Ball, Gareth Brown-Jowett wields great influence in the city’s art scene. He and his wife, Meagan, have two kids, Kennedy and Anderson, so they’ve had to get creative at finding new places to hang art in their Oakwood Village home. The less child-friendly art objects are out of reach on high shelves. They also move certain risqué pieces of art when other people’s children visit—“if we don’t know the parents,” he says. His personal collection reflects an interest in text-based works on paper, usually with an element of quirk or charm.

Here are some of highlights from his collection; click on the red dots for details on each.
