You may have heard that a record-breaking volume of snow landed on Toronto earlier this week, making for a majestic cityscape but a lot of inconvenience.

We know what it’s like for the streets to not be plowed, so this is not a complaint. We are simply passing along some video footage that aired on CP24 this morning, showing a snowplow hitting a parked car in the Bedford Park area.
In the video, which you can watch here, a plow can be seen driving into the side of a vehicle that was parked overnight in front of a residence. The accident caused extensive damage to the car, with its rear passenger door completely torn off and the windows shattered.
City officials told CP24 that the snowplow company will cover the cost of repair, but reminded residents to avoid street parking if they can, in order to let snowplows clear the roads.
And if you park downtown, let us remind you that Mayor Olivia Chow has implemented a steep fine for cars parked on a designated snow route.
