In this edition of The Weekender: the annual Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival, a Trekky’s greatest fantasy and three more things to do in Toronto.

ART Game Of Thrones: The Exhibition (FREE!) The travelling exhibition displays more than 70 pieces, including weapons, costumes and jewelry, straight from the set of HBO’s crazy-popular fantasy series. March 9 to 16. Design Exchange, 234 Bay St., 416-363-6121, themovienetwork.ca/Exhibition

THEATRE Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival The biggest name at the festival is former Kid in the Hall Bruce McCulloch, who makes his first solo appearance in Toronto in over a decade for his one man show “Young Drunk Punk” on Monday. This weekend the highlight is Eugene Mirman, best known as the put-upon landlord on Flight of the Conchords. $15–$50. March 7–17. Various venues. 647-505-1050, torontosketchfest.com

SHOPPING Drake General Store Warehouse Sale (FREE!) CONVENTION Toronto ComicCon Nearly the entire bridge crew from Star Trek: The Next Generation—Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFaddden, Michael Dorn, Brent Spiner, Marina Sirtis and LeVar Burton—are going to be at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre for a live stage event (they’re also taking photos and signing autographs). Other sci-fi stars on-hand include Sean Astin from the Lord of the Rings movies and Laura Vandervoort from Smallville. $20–$25. March 9–10. KIDS
Game On 2.0 A hands-on exhibit that helps connect the dots between Pong and World of Warcraft by tracing the developments of the gaming industry from its beginning in the early 1960s to today, when games rake in more cash in North America than Hollywood. $22. March 9–September 2.
