There’s a massive new medispa coming to Yorkville

Toronto is packed with places to get your skin plumped, zapped and polished, and now the beautiful people who frequent Charles Khabouth’s glitterati-approved restaurants, nightclubs and hotel can follow his four-decade-old hospitality empire straight to the spa.

Set to open September 15, Ink Entertainment’s latest venture, the three-storey, 4,000-square-foot 30 Hazelton, will be offering lasers, injectables and IV drips. “I’ve wanted to do a spa for a while,” says Khabouth. “It’s a way to extend a new experience to the clients who have followed us over the last 40 years.”

As skin devotees know, if a fountain of youth exists, it’s in South Korea. The spa at 30 Hazelton will offer two South Korean face-resurfacing lasers, the Everesse and the Ultraformer MPT, both of which purportedly smooth, sculpt and tighten skin. There’s also the Italian-made Helix laser, which promises to banish wrinkles and acne scars with minimal pain and downtime.

The group also landed a partnership with Sephora-favourite skin care brand Dr. Barbara Sturm, whose products will be featured in seven facials, one of which was created especially for the spa. “We like to bring in firepower,” says Khabouth. “So we brought in Barbara.” Semi-permanent makeup application and hair removal are on deck too.

The spa will eventually offer lunches from the group’s nearby spots, Sofia and Amal, which can be nibbled through newly plumped lips in the post-treatment lounge.  The plush new space is housed in a heritage building on Hazelton Avenue and is serving interior design from Nivek Remas, the company behind the dramatic vibes at Ink’s Animl steakhouse. In a marked departure from Ink’s usual over-the-top style, 30 Hazelton’s three floors and nine treatment rooms (all named after Yorkville streets) are outfitted in a serene minimalist aesthetic.

And while cosmetic treatments are hardly the shameful secrets of yore, anyone still planning to insist that they just got a good night’s sleep and really love drinking water can use a private exit with optional car service.
