The FIFA Fan Festival tickets reserved for free general admission sold out fast after going on sale this morning.

There had been some discussion regarding the pricing of Fan Festival tickets. They were originally promised to be free, and then a staff report put before the city’s executive committee recommended charging admission, a suggestion that was intended to keep city expenses within budget.

Following objections throughout city council, the majority of tickets were made available at no cost, while some premium tickets were held for prices between $100 and $300.

The free tickets for all dates sold out around noon today.
