Sign of the Bieb-pocalypse: a street in a small Texan town is named after Justin Bieber
It seems Bieber fever has made it all the way to the small town of Forney, Texas. In a growing list of things Justin Bieber doesn’t need (some say a haircut, we say a fragrance), 11-year-old “mayor for a day” Caroline Gonzalez has renamed a portion of the Dallas-adjacent city’s Main Street “Justin Bieber Way.” Gonzalez, a for-all-we-know up-and-coming politician, didn’t waste time on her single day of duty as the winner of a local contest to be a stand-in municipality leader. She commissioned the $20 sign to be displayed on Tuesday, but unfortunately the Biebs was unable to attend the renaming ceremony. For some (at least for children in Forney, since not even Canadians think he’s worthy of titled infrastructure), this is likely an “it’s about time” moment, but for us, we’re just pleased it isn’t a highway, which we assume would create chaos (we’re not certain how, but never say never).
